The Center for Literacy & Learning is excited to offer Lit Academy through our Professional Development Services! Designed for Pre-K–12 educators, Lit Academy provides training and support to strengthen literacy instruction across schools and districts.

Grounded in the Science of Reading, our program covers interventions, best practices, curriculum support, literacy goal-setting (GROW), and more—ensuring all students receive high-quality instruction.

Lit Academy is a two-day intensive learning event designed for literacy teams to collaborate, apply, and implement Science of Reading strategies in their schools.

Through hands-on workshops, evidence-based instruction, and ongoing support, educators will gain practical tools to enhance literacy outcomes. Plus, with three specialized tracks, schools can tailor their experience to best meet their needs.

Lit Academy is a collaborative, team-based, hands-on learning experience that brings together members of a school team charged with literacy-focused decision-making and implementation. Literacy leadership teams may consist of the following educators:

As a Lit Academy participant, teams receive year-long support beyond the two-day intensive event. This includes quarterly virtual support meetings and one-year access to The Center’s online platform, featuring Lit Academy resources, training videos, recorded sessions, and a cohort discussion board for ongoing collaboration.
